Harbour is a read-later app from Hen Solutions LLC. You save articles, recipes, how-to guides, newsletters, PDFs and videos, and Harbour keeps them in a private library you can read, cook and build from across the web app, iPhone and iPad, and our browser extensions. Harbour runs on a backend we operate — you do not host anything yourself.
You sign in with Google or Apple. We receive and store your email address, your display name, and your profile picture URL from that provider, plus the provider's stable account identifier. We never receive or store your Google or Apple password. If you use newsletter ingestion, we also create a Harbour email address for you and store the newsletters sent to it.
When you save a page, Harbour stores the URL, title, author, site name, article text, and cover image, along with what you do with it — reading progress, highlights, tags, notes, ratings, shopping lists, project and recipe data. Our browser extensions only ever act on a page when you explicitly click Save, use the keyboard shortcut, or choose "Save to Harbour" from the right-click menu. They do not watch or record the pages you browse.
Some features send content to processors on our behalf. Listening (text-to-speech), semantic search, and AI project briefs send the text of the item you are acting on to OpenAI, which processes it to return audio, embeddings or a summary. When a page will not extract normally, Harbour may send that page's URL to the Jina reader service to render it. These services act as our processors and are not permitted to use your content to train their models. If you do not use these features, nothing is sent.
Harbour Pro is billed through Apple's In-App Purchase system or, on the web, through Stripe. Those companies process your payment directly — Harbour never receives or stores your card number or billing details. We store only what we need to know that your subscription is active: the plan, its status and renewal date, and the processor's transaction or customer identifier.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your library with advertisers or ad networks, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles. Harbour does not collect your browsing history, keystrokes, mouse movements, or location.
Your library is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure we operate — a D1 database for your content, R2 for cached audio, and a Vectorize index for search. Copies are cached on your own devices so the app works offline. If you configure an outbound webhook, Harbour will send the items you choose to the destination you specify; that destination is under your control, not ours.
You can export your library or delete individual items at any time from within the app. To delete your account and everything in it, contact us at the address below and we will erase your data from our systems.
Harbour is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app.
